Please note that registration must be done by institutions as defined in section 42 of the WUDC constitution (i.e., tertiary education provider / university). Individuals and other groups are not eligible to register during institutional registration.

Institutions shall be considered new to the Championships if:51A.3.1. they have not previously sent a team to compete in an Edition of the Championships, or51A.3.2. they have not sent a team to compete in an Edition of the Championships for at least the previous ten Editions of the Championships.
You must fill out a separate scholarship application in order to be considered. Answering "Yes" to this question is not sufficient to be considered for a scholarship.

We can provide information describing WUDC or detailing your debate team's accomplishments (e.g., "We want to invite [in situation] to compete at the World Universities Debating Championship, the largest and most prestigious international debating competition, based on their strong success at [tournament] where they advanced to [elimination round].").

The default room arrangement at Ottawa WUDC will be quad rooms (i.e., four people sharing a room with two queen beds). If you would like to upgrade your room, we are currently offering the following options:
Single room upgrade (one person in a room with one queen bed) - $115 per night, for a total of $920.
Double room upgrade (two people in a room with one queen bed) - $40 per person per night, for a total of $320 per person.
Room upgrades will also be available for purchase when we request participant information, but are being offered at a discount to participants who purchase them now.
